The issue of preserving the environment receives attention at the highest levels, in order to stop the deterioration of life on planet Earth, and regardless of the measures taken to preserve the environment, the conviction is being consolidated day after day that the path to a clean and beautiful environment passes through the gate of greening, as plants have many benefits. 

The benefits, which require us to pay attention to them and work continuously to protect and increase them, are that they cool the atmosphere, regulate its temperature, increase the humidity of dry places, and reduce the percentage of pollution in the environment. They achieve multiple environmental, health, engineering, coordination, and aesthetic purposes.

We need to come up with creative ideas in implementing afforestation projects, so that they add beauty to Qatar, its cities and streets,

Afforestation and increasing green spaces is considered one of the most important priorities for which municipalities compete to show the extent of their care for the city, especially in desert areas that suffer from high temperatures and dust and sand storms, because plants achieve great importance in modifying and softening the local climate, improving the soil and increasing its fertility, and preventing… Pollution, reducing the effects of dust, reducing wind intensity, and alleviating noise and annoying sounds.The program’s activities include: afforestation and planting activity, educational activity, and awareness-raising activity achieved through events and festivals.

Scope

• Increasing the green area of the State of Qatar and supporting biodiversity.

• Increase community awareness of the importance of vegetation in preserving the environment from degradation and desertification

• Adding more environmental joy and beauty to Qatar, its cities and streets.

• Contributing to treating global warming and climate changes.

• Introducing the economic and medical benefits of plants and urging their proper exploitation.

• Introducing and settling tree species that are adaptable to our local environment.
