Flower Each Spring

Flower Each Spring is a program directed at children, young people and nature lovers about the plants of Qatar, and celebrates a flower from Qatar’s environments every year.

The program was launched in 1999 under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser.He adopts the method of learning through enjoyment, by organizing trips to his camp in Ras Al-Matekh, in the city of Al-Khor.

Goals

• Increasing community awareness of the importance of vegetation in protecting the environment from degradation and desertification.
• Introducing the economic and medical benefits of plants

• Developing innovative and creative capabilities in the areas of sustainable environmental development.
• Urging economic and industrial institutions to employ the aesthetics of plants in decorating products (jewelry – utensils – furniture – clothes – wall coverings – containers and packaging materials – etc.)
• Collecting and documenting scientific information about the plants of the Qatari environment in a database.
